Memorable Avengers' Highlights

  • On Sunday, March 30, 2003, in a Week 9 road game against the Orlando Predators, the Avengers trailed 63-58 late in the game. However, L.A. managed to recover an onside kick and on the very last play of the game, Quarterback Tony Graziani threw a 32-yard touchdown pass that flinged off the rebound net and was caught by WR/LB Greg Hopkins, giving the Avengers a 64-63 win. Greg Hopkins would later coach special teams for the Avengers where he forced his players to do push-ups if they do not know the answers to his questions.

Famous quotes containing the word memorable:

The second day of July 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more
    John Adams (1735–1826)
