Fire
On 29 May 2002, a fire destroyed the warehouse of Belles Lettres broadcast distribution to Gasny (Eure). More than three million books burned. A reprint of the works program was immediately launched. Almost all books have been reprinted, enjoying the passage of bibliographic corrections or additions.

Famous quotes containing the word fire:
“his lips meet mine, and a flood
Of sweet fire sweeps across me, so I drown
Against him, die and find death good.”
—D.H. (David Herbert)
“I sometimes left a good fire when I went to take a walk in a winter afternoon; and when I returned, three or four hours afterward, it would be still alive and glowing. My house was not empty though I was gone. It was as if I had left a cheerful housekeeper behind. It was I and Fire that lived there; and commonly my housekeeper proved trustworthy.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“Boys, when you see the enemy, fire and then run, and as I am a little lame, I will run now.”
—For the State of Rhode Island, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
