Acquired or Predisposed?

As with many occupations, there are questions as to whether people obtain certain personality types after being in their career or if they chose a particular career because of their type. Particularly in law enforcement, it is thought that many officers acquire a new personality type after many years in the force. They become more hostile, cold, and less worrisome about their co-officers; traits that are typical of an ISTJ personality type.
