Criticism
When measured against other serial villains like Ming the Merciless, Killer Kane pales somewhat in comparison. Fans are especially critical of the character, arguing that he acts more like a common crime lord than a global dictator. Others complain that the script gives him little to do other than yell at his henchmen and strut about his council chambers.

Famous quotes containing the word criticism:
“The aim of all commentary on art now should be to make works of artand, by analogy, our own experiencemore, rather than less, real to us. The function of criticism should be to show how it is what it is, even that it is what it is, rather than to show what it means.”
—Susan Sontag (b. 1933)
“In criticism I will be bold, and as sternly, absolutely just with friend and foe. From this purpose nothing shall turn me.”
—Edgar Allan Poe (18091845)
“When you overpay small people you frighten them. They know that their merits or activities entitle them to no such sums as they are receiving. As a result their boss soars out of economic into magic significance. He becomes a source of blessings rather than wages. Criticism is sacrilege, doubt is heresy.”
—Ben Hecht (18931964)
