Wall is married to Susan Smalley, PhD., a professor at UCLA in the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, who has done pioneering work in the genetics of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). She founded the Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC) at UCLA’s Semel Institute for Neuroscience. They have three children.
