Academics

Keene's ten largest academic programs, according to the Keene page of the USNH website, are English, Psychology, Art (including Graphic Design), Biology, History, Computer Science, Music, Management, Sociology and Mathematics.

Keene State College offers nearly 40 majors in the liberal arts and sciences, professional programs, and selected graduate degrees.

According to the KSC Course Catalog other notable majors include Architecture, Education, Environmental Studies, Film Studies, Communication, Journalism, and Theater & Dance. Keene's Factbook 2010-2011 reports that Film Studies and Communication are even more popular majors than in years past.

The Education major at Keene State College is a respected teacher education program. The college hosts major annual seminars in children's literature.

The Film Studies program hosts an annual student film festival.

Keene State College recently became the first accredited university in the nation to offer a four year degree in Genocide and Holocaust Studies.
