Karina got married on June 20, 1998 to Marcello Azevedo, a Brazilian Jewish entrepreneur, in a religious ceremony broadcasted by Venevisión. They have a daughter, Yasha Marcella, who was born in January 1999. On July 9, 2005 her second daughter, Hannaah, was born.
