History
Kay grew up in Cheshire, and at 18 attended the University of Exeter in Devon. After graduation in 1992, he joined the BBC as a trainee local reporter. After training, he became a reporter for BBC Radio Bristol, making an early documentary on the development of Bradley Stoke.
Kay has worked as a regional reporter for BBC Points West and for BBC London News. He is currently a news correspondent for BBC News covering the South-West of the country. He is also an occasional presenter on BBC News Channel and a regular relief presenter on BBC Breakfast.
