.ECO is a proposed top-level domain for the Domain Name System of the Internet. Its intended purpose is for Internet resources that address environmental or sustainability policy and related issues. There are four applicants for the ECO top-level domain (shown alphabetically):
- Big Room Inc.
- Donuts Inc. / Little Birch, LLC
- Planet.eco LLC
- Top Level Domain Holdings Limited
Applications are being evaluated by ICANN, with initial evaluation results expected in June or July 2013. Applications are posted for public comment at ICANN.
