American Sustainable Business Council

After co-founding Seventh Generation in the late-1980s, Hollender went on to co-found the American Sustainable Business Council, a “growing coalition of business networks committed to public policies that support a vibrant, just, and sustainable economy.” Today, more than 100,000 businesses and 200,000 entrepreneurs, owners, investors, managers and others have joined the council and Hollender remains involved with the ASBC on the Board of Directors.

Famous quotes containing the words american, business and/or council:

This American system of ours ... call it Americanism, call it capitalism, call it what you like, gives to each and every one of us a great opportunity if we only seize it with both hands and make the most of it.
    Al Capone (1899–1947)

In the haunted house no quarter is given: in that respect
It’s very much business as usual. The reductive principle
Is no longer there, or isn’t enforced as much as before.
    John Ashbery (b. 1927)

There by some wrinkled stones round a leafless tree
With beards askew, their eyes dull and wild
Twelve ragged men, the council of charity
Wandering the face of the earth a fatherless child....
    Allen Tate (1899–1979)
