Greatest Hits (Alien Ant Farm Album)

Greatest Hits (Alien Ant Farm Album)

Greatest Hits is Alien Ant Farm's first LP album, released independently in 1999 on their own record label. Many of the songs were re-recorded on their later albums.

Despite the album title, this is not a compilation album.

The song "Slick Thief" is a hidden track and an early version of the band's cover of the Michael Jackson classic "Smooth Criminal".

The album won best independent rock album at the L.A. Music Awards.

Greatest Hits is now available at Alien Ant Farm's live shows.

Famous quotes containing the words greatest, hits, ant and/or farm:

The art of the parenthesis is one of the greatest secrets of eloquence in Society.
    —Sébastien-Roch Nicolas De Chamfort (1741–1794)

From a hasty glance through the various tests I figure it out that I would be classified in Group B, indicating “Low Average Ability,” reserved usually for those just learning to speak the English Language and preparing for a career of holding a spike while another man hits it.
    Robert Benchley (1889–1945)

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise.
    Bible: Hebrew Proverbs, 6:6.

The words were rendered by Samuel Johnson in the opening lines of The Ant: “Turn on the prudent ant thy heedful eyes, Observe her labours, sluggard, and be wise.”

Ants are so much like human beings as to be an embarrassment. They farm fungi, raise aphids as livestock, launch armies into war, use chemical sprays to alarm and confuse enemies, capture slaves, engage in child labor, exchange information ceaselessly. They do everything but watch television.
    Lewis Thomas (b. 1913)
