Grant's - Bottle

Bottle

In 1957, Grant’s was first sold in a triangular bottle.

The designer, Hans Schleger, came to Britain as a refugee from Nazi Germany. He was asked to create a distinctive, elegant bottle that would showcase the quality and colour of the whisky as well being able to be stacked and packed efficiently.

In 2002, the Grant’s bottle and label were both updated. This included embossing the bottle with the Grant coat of arms and the motto ‘Stand Fast’ – the war cry of Clan Grant,to which William belonged. The words Est. 1887 and ‘Independent Family Distillers for Five Generations’ were also added.

Famous quotes containing the word bottle:

Give me my scallop-shell of quiet,
My staff of faith to walk upon,
My scrip of joy, immortal diet,
    My bottle of salvation,
My gown of glory, hope’s true gage,
And thus I’ll take my pilgrimage.
    Sir Walter Raleigh (1552–1618)

The last time I saw a head like that was in a bottle of formaldehyde.
Robert Pirosh, U.S. screenwriter, George Seaton, George Oppenheimer, and Sam Wood. Dr. Hugo Z. Hackenbush (Groucho Marx)

Kelly: I washed my face clean the morning I woke up in your bedroom.
Griff: You got morals in my bedroom?
Kelly: You had nothing to do with it. Nothing! It was your mirror.
Griff: You must have taken a long look.
Kelly: It was the longest look of my life. I saw a broken-down piece of machinery. Nothing but the buck, the bed, and the bottle for the rest of my life.
    Samuel Fuller (b. 1911)
