Famous quotes containing the words gold and/or teeth:
“And the Goddess?
She stands
between the worlds.
She is ivory,
her breast bare, her bare arms
braceleted with gold snakes.”
—Denise Levertov (b. 1923)
“For his teeth seem for laughing round an apple.
There lurk no claws behind his fingers supple;
And God will grow no talons at his heels,
Nor antlers through the thickness of his curls.”
