Garner Magnet High School (GMHS) is a 4AA school in the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS). GMHS has a current (2009–2010) enrollment of 2311 students. GMHS offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, which is offered by only three schools in the WCPSS, including Broughton High and Enloe High School.
The school is well known for one of its students, musician Scotty McCreery, who won the tenth season of American Idol in 2011.
