Frozen at Sea Fillets Association

Frozen At Sea Fillets Association

The Frozen at Sea Fillets Association (FASFA) is a trade organisation representing trawler owners and distributors of frozen at sea (FAS) filleted fish from Norway, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Spain, Russia and Greenland.

FASFA and its members promote a message of quality with regards to frozen at sea fillets and to highlight the general health benefits of eating fish. FASFA also ensures all its members fish in the well managed waters of the North Atlantic and Barents Sea to preserve the sustainability of future fishing stocks.

Frozen at sea filleted fish and the careful management of the North Atlantic and Barents Sea are vital to British interests because frozen cod and haddock fillets are now used by 90% of UK Fish & Chip shops.

Famous quotes containing the words frozen, sea and/or association:

Others greater than I have already eulogized you, but none of them ever had the pleasure I had to feel the caresses of your warm, soft hands, to merit your warm embrace that was reserved only for us, to see your half-smile that always told us so much, that same smile which is no longer, frozen in the grave with you.
    Noa Ben-Artzi Philosof (b. 1978)

Rich are the sea-gods:Mwho gives gifts but they?
They grope the sea for pearls, but more than pearls:
They pluck Force thence, and give it to the wise.
Every wave is wealth to Daedalus,
Wealth to the cunning artist who can work
This matchless strength. Where shall he find, O waves!
A load your Atlas shoulders cannot lift?
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

They that have grown old in a single state are generally found to be morose, fretful and captious; tenacious of their own practices and maxims; soon offended by contradiction or negligence; and impatient of any association but with those that will watch their nod, and submit themselves to unlimited authority.
    Samuel Johnson (1709–1784)
