    In Florida consider the flamingo,
Its color passion but its neck a question.
    Robert Penn Warren (1905–1989)

In my public statements I have earnestly urged that there rested upon government many responsibilities which affect the moral and spiritual welfare of our people. Moreover, it is through them that our national ideals are ingrained in our children.
    Herbert Hoover (1874–1964)

The cemetery isn’t really a place to make a statement.
Mary Elizabeth Baker, U.S. cemetery committee head. As quoted in Newsweek magazine, p. 15 (June 13, 1988)
