It is no coincidence that teams competing in Filippi boats over the last 20 years have won more than 400 medals at World Championships and Olympic Games.
This year Filippi boats caught 68 medals in international competitions (21 golds) and 13 potentially of Olympic interest.
In particular the gold ans silver medal with New Zealand and Italy in senior men coxless four in Munich has really no precedents. Never Filippi had got the most precious metal in a so prestigious sweep class.
