Fatal Charm

Fatal Charm (also known as The Fatal Charm from 1978–1979) were a punk then rock/pop band from Nottingham, England.

From 1980 onwards, their musical style was difficult to define; a variation on the rock/pop genre that defied comparison with other emerging UK acts such as Echo & the Bunnymen, The Cure, New Order and Ultravox, who were darker and more introspective. Neither were they as 'poppy' as the female fronted bands that followed, such as T'Pau, The Primitives, and The Darling Buds.

Famous quotes containing the words fatal and/or charm:

    But when the bowels of the earth were sought,
    And men her golden entrails did espy,
    This mischief then into the world was brought,
    This framed the mint which coined our misery.
    ...
    And thus began th’exordium of our woes,
    The fatal dumb-show of our misery;
    Here sprang the tree on which our mischief grows,
    The dreary subject of world’s tragedy.
    Michael Drayton (1563–1631)

    All the charm of all the Muses
    often flowering in a lonely word;
    Alfred Tennyson (1809–1892)
