Famous quotes containing the word facts:
“The poor and the low have their way of expressing the last facts of philosophy as well as you. Blessed be nothing, and The worse things are, the better they are, are proverbs which express the transcendentalism of common life.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“Live in contact with dreams and you will get something of their charm: live in contact with facts and you will get something of their brutality. I wish I could find a country to live in where the facts were not brutal and the dreams not real.”
—George Bernard Shaw (18561950)
