History

Formerly, as Conservatives for Climate and Environment, the organisation was based on support for the economic policies of the governing Liberal and National parties, but with greater emphasis on the importance of climate change, and focused on environmental policies, which included the ratification of the Kyoto Protocol and an 80 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Famous quotes containing the word history:

All history becomes subjective; in other words there is properly no history, only biography.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

Let it suffice that in the light of these two facts, namely, that the mind is One, and that nature is its correlative, history is to be read and written.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

We know only a single science, the science of history. One can look at history from two sides and divide it into the history of nature and the history of men. However, the two sides are not to be divided off; as long as men exist the history of nature and the history of men are mutually conditioned.
    Karl Marx (1818–1883)
