Enson Inoue (Japanese: エンセン井上, born April 15, 1967) is a Japanese American mixed martial artist. He has a professional MMA record of 12-8-0. He is a former Shooto Light Heavyweight Champion. He had also previously fought in Pride Fighting Championships, one of the biggest mixed martial arts organization at the time. Inoue holds a notable submission win (armbar) over former UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture at Vale Tudo Japan 1998 as featured in the documentary film Rites of Passage. Because of that victory, Inoue laid claim to the title of Lineal Mixed Martial Arts Champion, an honor he would only successfully defend once. He also appeared in the martial arts movie Redbelt.
