Elvi

Elvi

Elvi was originally a Dutch wholesale clothing company with a size range from 8-20. The owner was a man called Elin Vissor and thus the name Elvi was devised. The brand, created in the 1940s, had a long history as a wholesale brand based in Holland and wholesaled throughout Europe - mainly in Holland, Germany, Belgium and France. In 1993 Elvi was bought by a company called Lerose Limited, which was in turn bought by Country Casuals (a.k.a. CC). CC felt that an opportunity existed to establish a brand for size 16 and up in the UK, both in High Street shops and in concessions in department stores.
