Dorn Method - Critics

Critics

The Dorn Method is not yet accepted by Mainstream Medicine due to the lack of independent scientific research. The Dorn Method’s short learning period, usually done in weekend workshops, is often regarded as insufficient from the Medical Profession and many claims made by Dorn Method Practitioners are not verified by anatomical and physiological science. The Dorn Method applied as Manual Therapy is regarded as therapeutic intervention and as the domain of accepted medical procedures which does not suit the main principles of the Dorn Method that regards the therapy part as secondary and the educational part for prevention and self therapy as the primary important factor. Many Dorn Method Practitioners who are also Mainstream Health Professionals propose some regulatory guidelines to be established that at the same time allow the Dorn Method to stay free of strict regulations and freely accessible for people seeking self-help possibilities.

Research was done to study the effect of the Dorntherapy on Tinnitus Patients.

Famous quotes containing the word critics:

Individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today—but the core of science fiction, its essence ... has become crucial to our salvation if we are to be saved at all.
    Isaac Asimov (1920–1992)

Some critics are like chimneysweepers; they put out the fire below, and frighten the swallows from the nests above; they scrape a long time in the chimney, cover themselves with soot, and bring nothing away but a bag of cinders, and then sing out from the top of the house, as if they had built it.
    Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807–1882)

Learn then what morals critics ought to show,
For ‘tis but half a judge’s task, to know.
    Alexander Pope (1688–1744)
