Son
His son, Duron Carter, played wide receiver at Ohio State. He became a starter the second game of his true freshman season and caught his first touchdown pass against Indiana on October 3, 2009. Duron was forced to transfer to Coffeyville Community College after the 2009 season due to academic issues.
Duron enrolled at another elite BCS school, Alabama, in 2011. He's been on campus in Tuscaloosa, AL since early June 2011. Cris Carter has visited his son on campus, and attended numerous practice scrimmages.
Carter left Alabama without ever having played a game. He is currently seeking a transfer school, but will find it difficult to enroll at a Division I institution without sitting out a season. Florida Atlantic is thought to be the school of choice.

Famous quotes containing the word son:
“He certainly must be a son of Aurora to whom the sun looms, when there are so many millions to whom it glooms rather, or who will never see it till an hour after it has risen. But it behooves us old stagers to keep our lamps trimmed and burning to the last, and not trust to the sun’s looming.”
—Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
“While they were there, the time came for her to deliver her child. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.”
—Bible: New Testament, Luke 2:6,7.
“I came here to take my son home and I realized he already is home.”
—Robert Benton (b. 1932)
