Non-creamy Layer Certificate
This certificate is to be produced by "non-creamy" OBCs applying against reserved vacancies for appointment to posts/admission to central educational institutions (CEIs), under the Government of India.
The authorities competent to issue the OBC "Non-Creamy Layer" certificate are:
- District Magistrate / Additional Magistrate / Collector / Deputy Commissioner / Additional Deputy Commissioner / Deputy Collector / Ist Class Stipendiary Magistrate / Sub-Divisional magistrate / Taluka Magistrate / Executive Magistrate / Extra Assistant Commissioner (not below the rank of Ist Class Stipendiary Magistrate).
- Chief Presidency Magistrate / Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate / Presidency Magistrate.
- Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar and
- Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate and/or his family resides.
