2008 Season
The season has been Cameron's most successful to date. He achieved his first podiums at the North West 200, finishing in 3rd place in the Superstock race, and a close 2nd in the main Superbike race, being passed by Steve Plater at the Juniper Chicane on the last lap.
Despite missing the 2007 TT through injury, Donald returned to the island and won his first ever TT races. He won the opening Superbike race and also the Superstock race. He was in contention for the blue riband event as well, the Senior TT, but his bike suffered an oil leak while he was leading, forcing him to surrender the lead to John McGuinness. He managed to hold on to 2nd place to cap a great week for himself and the Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing Team.

Famous quotes containing the word season:
“Let us have a good many maples and hickories and scarlet oaks, then, I say. Blaze away! Shall that dirty roll of bunting in the gun-house be all the colors a village can display? A village is not complete, unless it have these trees to mark the season in it. They are important, like the town clock. A village that has them not will not be found to work well. It has a screw loose, an essential part is wanting.”
—Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
