Life and Career
Gould, the eldest of three siblings, was born in Los Angeles, California to Tom and Valerie Gould. Raised Jewish, he is active in the Conservative Jewish youth group USY. Gould has two younger sisters, Emma and Kelly, who are also actors. Gould made his acting debut at the age of six and became well known for voicing the title character of Disney/Pixar's Finding Nemo. On television, Gould played the role of Shane Botwin on the Showtime dramedy series Weeds, as well as guest-starring on such series as Ally McBeal, Malcolm in the Middle, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Supernatural, and Pushing Daisies. He starred as David Collins in the WB remake of the soap opera Dark Shadows, but its pilot episode was rejected by the WB Television Network and never aired.
