Abhishek Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan (born 5 February 1976) is an Indian film actor and producer. Bachchan has received three Filmfare Awards and a National Film Award, and was named as one of the highest paid actors in Bollywood in 2010.

Bachchan starred in his debut in the drama film Refugee (2000). He became a full-fledged movie star after starring in the critically and commercially successful action thriller Dhoom (2004). Bachchan has since been known primarily as the "popular face" of the Dhoom film franchise. His other commercially successful films includes Bunty Aur Babli (2005), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), Guru (2007), Dostana (2008), Sarkar Raj (2008), and Bol Bachchan (2012). Bachchan has received critical acclaim for his work in Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon (2003), Yuva (2004), Sarkar (2005), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), Guru (2007), Dostana (2008), and Sarkar Raj (2008). Bachchan has received three Filmfare Awards for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Yuva, Sarkar, and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. He has also received Filmfare Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role nominations for his performances in Bunty Aur Babli (2005), Guru (2007), and Dostana (2008). In 2010, Bachchan won his first National Film Award as a producer for Paa (2009), which also won the award for Best Feature Film in Hindi.

Married to actor and former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai, Bachchan comes from an illustrious Bollywood family. His father, Amitabh Bachchan, and mother, Jaya Bachchan, were leading actors in Hindi cinema.
