Creation
The 3rd Battlecruiser Squadron was created in 1915, with the return to home waters of two of the three Invincible-class battlecruisers—Invincible and Inflexible—following the Battle of the Falkland Islands and the Dardanelles operation. They were joined by their sister Indomitable, and, under the command of Rear Admiral Sir Horace Hood, the squadron was based at Rosyth Scotland.

Famous quotes containing the word creation:
“There is an incompatibility between literary creation and political activity.”
—Mario Vargas Llosa (b. 1936)
“The very austerity of the Brahmans is tempting to the devotional soul, as a more refined and nobler luxury. Wants so easily and gracefully satisfied seem like a more refined pleasure. Their conception of creation is peaceful as a dream.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“One of the necessary qualifications of an efficient business man in these days of industrial literature seems to be the ability to write, in clear and idiomatic English, a 1,000-word story on how efficient he is and how he got that way.... It seems that the entire business world were devoting its working hours to the creation of a school of introspective literature.”
—Robert Benchley (18891945)
