Cyrille Guimard, who had won the first part of stage eight, tested positive for piperidine after stage thirteen. Three other cyclists tested positive:

  • Claude Tollet, for amphetamine;
  • Daniel Ducreux, for piperidine;
  • Carlos Melero, for piperidine.
