Common Warehouse Metamodel

The Common Warehouse Metamodel (CWM) defines a specification for modeling metadata for relational, non-relational, multi-dimensional, and most other objects found in a data warehousing environment. The specification is released and owned by the Object Management Group, which also claims a trademark in the use of "CWM".

By year 2011 the active version of the CWM specification is v1.1 with a supplementary specification, Common Warehouse Metamodel (CWM) Metadata Interchange Patterns (MIP), which further refines the requirements for tools to inter-operate smoothly.

Famous quotes containing the word common:

Wilt thou have this Woman to thy wedded wife, to live together after God’s ordinance in the holy estate of Matrimony? Wilt thou love her, comfort her, honour, and keep her in sickness and in health; and, forsaking all other, keep thee only unto her, so long as ye both shall live?
—Book Of Common Prayer, The. Solemnization of Matrimony, “Betrothal,” (1662)
