Famous quotes containing the words land, forces and/or december:

    “I am of Ireland,
And the Holy Land of Ireland,
And time runs on,” cried she.
    “Come out of charity
And dance with me in Ireland.”
    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)

Although Freud said happiness is composed of love and work, reality often forces us to choose love or work.
    Letty Cottin Pogrebin (20th century)

    Work—work—work,
    In the dull December light,
    And work—work—work,
When the weather is warm and bright—
    While underneath the eaves
    The brooding swallows cling
As if to show me their sunny backs
And twit me with the spring.
    Thomas Hood (1799–1845)
