Famous quotes containing the words transfer and/or function:

I have proceeded ... to prevent the lapse from ... the point of blending between wakefulness and sleep.... I can survey them with the eye of analysis.
    Edgar Allan Poe (1809–1849)

To look backward for a while is to refresh the eye, to restore it, and to render it the more fit for its prime function of looking forward.
    Margaret Fairless Barber (1869–1901)
