Brändö is an island municipality of Åland, Finland. The municipality has a population of 482 (30 September 2012) and covers an area of 1,648.48 square kilometres (636.48 sq mi) of which 1,540.41 km2 (594.76 sq mi) is water. The population density is 4.46 inhabitants per square kilometre (11.6 /sq mi). The municipality is unilingually Swedish and 84.6% of the population are Swedish speakers.
