Young Socialists of Croatia (Croatian: Mladi Socijalisti Hrvatske) is a left-wing youth organization in Croatia. It was formed in 1998.
An elected member of the Young Socialists sits in the Presidency of Socialist Labour Party of Croatia.
The motto of the organization is "Never Slaves, Never Masters!" (Croatian: Nikad sluge, nikad gospodari!)
In 2008 part of the organization transformed itself into an autonomous organization called Red Action.
In December 2010 was held the 8th congress, which reorganized the Socialist Youth and reverted its name to Young Socialists.
Famous quotes containing the words young and/or socialists:
“That land is like an Eagle, whose young gaze
Feeds on the noontide beam, whose golden plume
Floats moveless on the storm, and in the blaze
Of sunrise gleams when Earth is wrapped in gloom;
An epitaph of glory for the tomb
Of murdered Europe may thy fame be made,
Great People! as the sands shalt thou become;
Thy growth is swift as morn, when night must fade;
The multitudinous Earth shall sleep beneath thy shade.”
—Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792–1822)
“Why grab possessions like thieves, or divide them like socialists when you can ignore them like wise men?”
—Natalie Clifford Barney (1876–1972)
