York Mills is generally inhabited by families. The two age groups with the highest frequencies are 15-19 year olds (8.3%) and 45-49 year olds (8.7%). There is a dip in between these two age groups in 30-34 year olds (4.8%), revealing a lack in young professionals.
The neighbourhood is also known for its high levels of income. 35% of its population reports an annual income of $60,000 and above, more than twice the percentage of Toronto (16%).
