Boundaries
The constituency of Wythenshawe and Sale East is one of three in the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford and five in Manchester City, encompassing three of the five wards in Sale and all five wards of Wythenshawe. The constituency was created at the 1997 General Election combining most of the former Manchester Wythenshawe constituency with parts of the Altrincham and Sale constituency.
Sale East contains the following wards:
- Brooklands - All seats Conservative
- Priory - All seats Labour
- Sale Moor - Two seats Labour, One seat Conservative
Wythenshawe contains the following wards:
- Northenden - Two seats Liberal Democrat, one seat Labour
- Brooklands - All three Labour
- Baguley - All three Labour
- Sharston - All three Labour
- Woodhouse Park - All three Labour
