Wood Trim

Wood trim, alternatively known as wood fascia, is a fascia made of synthetic or varnished, natural wood, usually found on dashboards of luxury cars. First used in the '80s by Mercedes-Benz, they spread and soon other manufacturers were using them. Wood trim can be made from natural materials like beechwood, maple, walnut, oak, or from synthetic materials.

Famous quotes containing the words wood and/or trim:

    bodies wrapped in elastic bands,
bodies cased in wood or used like telephones,
bodies crucified up onto their crutches,
bodies wearing rubber bags between their legs,
bodies vomiting up their juice like detergent,
bodies smooth and bare as darning eggs.
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)

When we think of him, he is without a hat, standing in the wind and weather. He was impatient of topcoats and hats, preferring to be exposed, and he was young enough and tough enough to enjoy the cold and the wind of those times.... It can be said of him, as of few men in a like position, that he did not fear the weather, and did not trim his sails, but instead challenged the wind itself, to improve its direction and to cause it to blow more softly and more kindly over the world and its people.
