Wolf City is the fifth studio album released by the German Krautrock band Amon Düül II.
Like its predecessor, Carnival in Babylon, Wolf City is a more conventional recording than the band's earlier albums, with shorter track times and more straightforward song structures. This was likely due to the band's increasing commercial popularity, both at home and in the UK. Despite this change, the album reaffirms Amon Düül II's love for experimentation, especially on such tracks as "Jail-House Frog" and "Deutsch Nepal".
A re-released version of the album, published on the Gamma label, features three bonus tracks: "What You Gonna Do", "Las Vegas", and "Mueller's Frau-Jam".

Famous quotes containing the words wolf and/or city:
“O opportunity! thy guilt is great,
Tis thou that executst the traitors treason;
Thou setst the wolf where he the lamb may get;
Whoever plots the sin, thou pointst the season;
Tis thou that spurnst at right, at law, at reason;
And in thy shady cell, where none may spy him,
Sits Sin to seize the souls that wander by him.”
—William Shakespeare (15641616)
“I am more and more convinced that, with reference to any public question, it is more important to know what the country thinks of it than what the city thinks. The city does not think much.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
