Famous quotes containing the words science, objectives, wind and/or mission:

Today the function of the artist is to bring imagination to science and science to imagination, where they meet, in the myth.
    Cyril Connolly (1903–1974)

Along the journey we commonly forget its goal. Almost every vocation is chosen and entered upon as a means to a purpose but is ultimately continued as a final purpose in itself. Forgetting our objectives is the most frequent stupidity in which we indulge ourselves.
    Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900)

Falstaff. What wind blew you hither, Pistol?
Pistol. Not the ill wind which blows no man to good.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

    Ellen Henrietta Swallow Richards (1842–1911)
