Wind power in Ohio has a long history, and as of 2012, Ohio had 426 MW of utility-scale wind power installations installed. Over 1000 MW more were under construction or pending approval. Ohio's first large wind farm, Timber Road II near Payne in northwest Ohio, opened on October 6, 2011.

and wake.”

“Power and violence are opposites; where the one rules absolutely, the other is absent. Violence appears where power is in jeopardy, but left to its own course it ends in powers disappearance.”
—Hannah Arendt (19061975)
“Heaven is not one of your fertile Ohio bottoms, you may depend on it.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
