There have been occasional suggestions that the Hall of Fame might be expanded but so far the club has not taken this step. Some years ago the club organised a poll, via the local press, with a view to adding three more players but the response from the public was very poor and the highest polling players (Anthony "Tony" Myler, Kurt Sorensen and Stuart Wright) were not formally inducted. In more recent times, calls to make Gavin Dodd an honourary inductee to the Hall of Fame have been muted.

Famous quotes containing the words hall and/or fame:
“Let us not be too much acquainted. I would have a man enter his house through a hall filled with heroic and sacred sculptures, that he might not want the hint of tranquillity and self-poise.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“I have made a very rude translation of the Seven against Thebes, and Pindar too I have looked at, and wish he was better worth translating. I believe even the best things are not equal to their fame. Perhaps it would be better to translate fame itself,or is not that what the poets themselves do? However, I have not done with Pindar yet.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
