Wichita Falls Municipal Airport covers an area of 3,800 acres (1,500 ha) which contains four paved runways. For the 12-month period ending August 22, 1988, the airport had 53,829 aircraft operations, an average of 147 per day: 43% military, 37% general aviation, 20% air taxi. At that time there were 223 aircraft based at this airport: 2% single-engine, 8% multi-engine and 90% military.
