WGBO-DT

WGBO-DT (branded on-air as Univision Chicago) is the Univision owned-and-operated television station serving the Chicago, Illinois metropolitan area that is licensed to Joliet. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 38 (virtual channel 66.1 via PSIP) from a transmitter atop the John Hancock Center. Owned by Univision Communications, WXFT-DT is sister to Telefutura owned-and-operated station WXFT-DT (channel 60) and both stations share studios on Fairbanks Court (near Columbus Drive and Illinois Street) in the Streeterville neighborhood. The station can also be seen on Comcast Xfinity channel 16, AT&T U-verse channels 16 and 3002, and RCN channel 17. There is a high definition feed offered on Comcast Xfinity digital channel 182, RCN digital channel 617 and AT&T U-verse channel 1006. As a Univision-owned station, WGBO offers a Spanish-language programming format featuring local and national newscasts, talk shows, telenovelas, movies, comedy and variety series, and soccer events.
