Werribee Railway Station - Facilities

Facilities

Werribee station is located between Comben Drive and Manly Street, with access being available from both streets via an underpass at the Flinders Street end of the station.

The station consists of an island platform and a side platform. Platform 1 & 2 has a large steel canopy, while platform 3 has a large rendered masonry building, which is the original station building, although extensively altered.

The underpass at the station contains the ticket office, a large Metcard ticket vending machine, and a mock Comeng train which is used as a cafe. A small coin-only Metcard ticket vending machine is located at the entrance to platform 3, as well as in the underpass.

The Western standard gauge line to Adelaide runs immediately to the west of the station.

Famous quotes containing the word facilities:

Marriage is good enough for the lower classes: they have facilities for desertion that are denied to us.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)

I have always found that when men have exhausted their own resources, they fall back on “the intentions of the Creator.” But their platitudes have ceased to have any influence with those women who believe they have the same facilities for communication with the Divine mind as men have.
    Elizabeth Cady Stanton (1815–1902)
