Service
Wellard is on the Mandurah Line of the Transperth Trains network, a hybrid metro-commuter rail system with five lines in metropolitan Perth. As such, it receives trains northbound to central Perth and southbound to the suburbs of Mandurah and Rockingham. Three stopping patterns serve Wellard station: all stations, C, and K (only towards Perth).
In the inbound direction, all stations and K-pattern trains take about 31 minutes, averaging 72.1 km/h (44.8 mph), to arrive at Perth. C-pattern trains stop at all stations except Canning Bridge heading to Perth, taking 29 minutes at an average of 77.2 km/h (48.0 mph).
In the outbound direction, an all stations train takes about 22 minutes, averaging 89.5 km/h (55.6 mph), to arrive at Mandurah. C-pattern trains operate locally to Mandurah apart from skipping Canning Bridge; this has no effect for passengers departing Wellard for any southbound stations. K-pattern trains do not stop at Wellard on their way to Rockingham.

Famous quotes containing the word service:
“His character as one of the fathers of the English language would alone make his works important, even those which have little poetical merit. He was as simple as Wordsworth in preferring his homely but vigorous Saxon tongue, when it was neglected by the court, and had not yet attained to the dignity of a literature, and rendered a similar service to his country to that which Dante rendered to Italy.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“In public buildings set aside for the care and maintenance of the goods of the middle ages, a staff of civil service art attendants praise all the dead, irrelevant scribblings and scrawlings that, at best, have only historical interest for idiots and layabouts.”
—George Grosz (18931959)
“The ability to think straight, some knowledge of the past, some vision of the future, some skill to do useful service, some urge to fit that service into the well-being of the community, these are the most vital things education must try to produce.”
—Virginia Crocheron Gildersleeve (18771965)
