- Harry Turtledove, one of the most prominent alternate history authors, appears as "Commander Turtletaub", an aide to FDR. Turtledove has on occasion used the name 'H. N. Turteltaub' as an alternate pseudonym for his works. References to Turtledove's WorldWar series also appear.
