Plymouth Creek Elementary School

Plymouth Creek Elementary School's school mascot is the panther and the principal is Dr. Karla Thompson. For a couple of years in a row, this school has won the Minnesota School of Excellence award. Plymouth Creek has a nine month school year from September to June. Every morning a team of 5th graders produce a news show, supervised by Mrs. Toma.

Each day students go to a specialist. They attend Spanish, gym, art, vocal music, or technology for an hour. A highlight of the year is Book Month, which takes place in February. During this month students collect money based on the number of pages they read. This money goes to the PTA.

Famous quotes containing the words plymouth, creek, elementary and/or school:

In clear weather the laziest may look across the Bay as far as Plymouth at a glance, or over the Atlantic as far as human vision reaches, merely raising his eyelids; or if he is too lazy to look after all, he can hardly help hearing the ceaseless dash and roar of the breakers. The restless ocean may at any moment cast up a whale or a wrecked vessel at your feet. All the reporters in the world, the most rapid stenographers, could not report the news it brings.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

The only law was that enforced by the Creek Lighthorsemen and the U.S. deputy marshals who paid rare and brief visits; or the “two volumes of common law” that every man carried strapped to his thighs.
State of Oklahoma, U.S. relief program (1935-1943)

Listen. We converse as we live—by repeating, by combining and recombining a few elements over and over again just as nature does when of elementary particles it builds a world.
    William Gass (b. 1924)

Loosed betwixt eye and lid, the swimming beams
Of memory, blind school of cuttlefish,
Rise to the air, plunge to the cold streams....
    Allen Tate (1899–1979)
