Future
The Croxley Rail Link to divert the Metropolitan Line's Watford branch to Watford Junction via the disused Croxley Green branch has been heavily supported and will see the return of London Underground trains, albeit formed of the Metropolitan Line's surface stock rather than the deep level stock of the Bakerloo Line. It received the funding required in December 2011 and London Underground and Hertfordshire County Council are now applying for a Transport and Works Act (TWA) Order.
There has also been plans, however, to re-extend the Bakerloo Line back to Watford Junction. This would result in another London Underground line servicing the station. If this was to happen it has been stated that London Overground services will be withdrawn from the Watford DC Line completely.

Famous quotes containing the word future:
“The present hour is always wealthiest when it is poorer than the future ones, as that is the pleasantest site which affords the pleasantest prospects.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“The most remarkable aspect of the transition we are living through is not so much the passage from want to affluence as the passage from labor to leisure.... Leisure contains the future, it is the new horizon.... The prospect then is one of unremitting labor to bequeath to future generations a chance of founding a society of leisure that will overcome the demands and compulsions of productive labor so that time may be devoted to creative activities or simply to pleasure and happiness.”
—Henri Lefebvre (b. 1901)
“The future which we hold in trust for our own children will be shaped by our fairness to other peoples children.”
—Marian Wright Edelman (20th century)
