WaterTower Music (formerly New Line Records) is an American record label owned by Time Warner and operates as a division of Warner Bros. Entertainment. It was founded in 2010 as the successor to New Line Records. Founded to release movie soundtracks, the label has grown beyond this initial purpose and has built a roster of indie rock acts such as The Sounds, OFFICE, Robbers on High Street, The Sights and Midnight Movies. The label is currently distributed by Warner Bros. Records which was founded by Warner Bros. but is no longer co-owned with the film studio of the same name.
Famous quotes containing the words water, tower and/or music:
“The senseless drowned
Have faces nobody would care to see,
But water loves those gradual erasures
Of flesh and shoreline, greenery and glass,”
—Howard Moss (b. 1922)
“Resignedly beneath the sky
The melancholy waters lie.
So blend the turrets and shadows there
That all seem pendulous in air,
While from a proud tower in the town
Death looks gigantically down.”
—Edgar Allan Poe (18091849)
“The dignity of art probably appears most eminently with music since it does not have any material that needs to be discounted. Music is all form and content and elevates and ennobles everything that it expresses.”
—Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (17491832)
